Back in 2010 : after one year exploring her submissive side in front of my camera, Miss Suzy lived the experience of a bondage session recorded on video. She has never been captured like this and was a bit anxious about being filmed : through our sessions, Suzy became more confident but all this was still a challenge for the french student. I don’t remember who launched the idea but we talked about this video for a while and prepared several things before to shoot it. On my side, I had the desire to do another long footage like the video “Bondage Session 01” with Mina that we recorded in 2009 using some colored lights already tested with my muse in 2008 for her “Private Dance” … I think everything started when Suzy discovered this video made for Latex Culture : she wanted to do a strip-tease like Mina but she was unsure about the result. So, she trained herself in her small appartment in front of a mirror. My sessions with Suzy has always been pretty intense and the level of kink slightly increased through the time. Suzy was similar to Anaïs : she had a lot of fantasies in mind and I was there to make it real for our common pleasure. You have to know my relationship with Anaïs has ever been strictly professional : we didn’t play together beyond the camera even she was maybe awaiting something more from me. Since the beginning, Suzy shared her intimate thoughts with me and it created one alchemy which allowed us to do a lot of nice pics. Of course, she was more than happy to be bound & explore her submissive side … like Anaïs in 2006, the life of Suzy changed : she wasn’t only one student anymore being one of these captive girls that she watched on her computer before to contact me. For Suzy, this need became stronger after a while : I helped her to discover a lot of situations and feel several aspects related to submission but it wasn’t enough. Because I did some mistakes with Greta in 2001 that made me keep a distance with Anaïs in 2006, I continued to be cautious with Suzy even if she started to ask more. You have to know that I am the kind of guy who never does something without hearing or reading one confirmation related to an impression or situation. It means the girl needs to send a clear signal if she’s expecting anything from me. I think Suzy understood my nature event if my character was too complicated for she : her attitude changed moving to Paris. Suzy wasn’t living far away from me and we got more time for us … why do I mention all this ? Because this bondage session has been recorded during this period. That’s difficult to explain, even more when my memories are blurry : I don’t remember exactly when Suzy & I started to do some rope bondage beyond the spotlights, for our pleasure only. I know that one day, we were having a drink & ice-cream at Palais Royal when Suzy told me she would need to relax being bound … I answered something and she decided to spend the evening at home, bound in my ropes, without any camera or reason to do except her desire. When it happened, I didn’t catch the meaning of all this, because my perception of some mechanisms has been modified by this decade focused on my work. Later, when I met Faustine in 2011, I realized how it was difficult to make me understand any attitude related to seduction … of course, we talked a lot about my models with Faustine and her opinion about some situation brought me the key needed to decrypt & analyze differently my own adventure as photographer. I was too obsessed by the principle to separate my professional & private life … while several of the girls that I tied & shot were living a human adventure, totally and not partially like me. It probably created some frustration or misunderstood with some of my partners who were giving a lot to me. Many people underestimate or simply do not see the personal investment of these women … someone like Suzy wasn’t in front of the camera to get paid, she has been pictured because she had the desire to live this experience. That’s why such a video is so respectable … you should look at it as a testimony of memories that are engraved in our mind. Suzy experienced this intense session without any filter, she gave herself up with the desire to feel emotions… for her, but also for me, and that, I didn’t know how to manage at the time. Anyway, I was unsure about the shooting date because we didn’t shot any picture which could help me reading the EXIF data. So, I browsed my photo series with Suzy and noticed that, one day, on 2010, November 28, we started one set at 6:30 PM which is an unsual schedule … except if we recorded the video before. I still have an offline access to the Captive Culture blog : on December 29, I shared one sample of this video explaining that Suzy went at home four weeks before : the dates seem to correspond but I cannot certify it. So, I tried to verify the text exchanges between Suzy & I but my archives are incomplete : you could think it’s weird but when Suzy started to send me some messages before to sleep talking about submission, I did one back-up of these SMS to avoid any future problem. That’s always difficult and sensitive to explain the story off the spotlights but I think it’s important to define the context for each session. Back to this video : Suzy started doing her strip-tease in front of my camcorder but there was another lens on a tripod as secondary recorder … I tried to do a better filming than the private dance of Mina : Suzy took-off the clothes chosen inside my collection following the song “Sway with Me” from Dark City, the movie and another track which was playing in my living-room. I used more lights than previously, there were probably two or three Living Colors units made by Philips before the raise of Hue several years later. I didn’t use my usual spotlights to create a different atmosphere that was easy to change clicking on the remote controller. You should appreciate this moment watching Suzy before she moves on the chair to be bound … then, she had to wait for me while I was preparing the stuff that would & could be used with Suzy. We were together, she & I, no assistant, just the lens of my camcorder. That’s interesting to read her body language during this second part of the video : you can feel Suzy isn’t comfortable with the camera, she’s looking regularly in the direction of my lens. It was her first time on video and the bondage session is also different from being shot for a photo series … of course, I have ever been more serious when the camcorder was filming such a situation. It was also the goal of this exercise : my partner had to feel this atmosphere specific to ropeplay. Suzy accepted to explore this path without knowing what would happen like Mina who has been strictly tied before to be suspended and then whipped. It was a way to explore her submissive side with someone that she could trust totally. But, because our mutual experience could incrase her safety level, it was needed to destabilize my partner with some small details. As you can see on the beginning of this bondage session, I almost don’t talk to Suzy : she quickly feels herself alone in front of the lens, slowly bound like an object on this chair. She had no external distraction to dig into this necessary state : the sound of ropes and this music as background. I used the same for my Shibari School meetings … it helped us to stay in the positive spirit that I have ever proposed through my pics & vids : this session should be long and I didn’t want to loose Suzy in the middle of our experience because the atmosphere would be too strict. After 10 minutes being tied, the smile of Suzy went back when I started to focus my attention on she. Some tickling before to bring the black clothespins that she discovered one year before, during her second trip to Paris. It was only one small break before to leave her nipples pinched while I continued to build my ropework. Suzy forgot the camcorder for a while before to stare at it again … probably because there was not only my lens but also the screen display turned in our direction : I was using it as control monitor but some models loved to watch themselves. Here is another difference with our photo series : nipple play was used to do some nice pics or tease the bound girl for a short time … Suzy got several minutes to enjoy this pinch and feel every move while I was binding her body. I gave her a chance to be released from these clothespins : we exchanged some words but, her attitude made me thought that she didn’t get enough. She had to wait for the next step : I brought one ball-gag with chin strap … the same that we used for her photo series with Miss Eskarina. Suzy probably knew that she would stay gagged for a longer time than her first try ! Now that her mind was focused on her stuffed & locked mouth, I released Suzy from the clothespins : don’t miss this moment and look at her face. She wanted to explore her submissive side, Suzy probably started to feel what it really means. Two minutes later, her nipples got pinched again … each clothepin biting the end of these small breasts has been more painful for Suzy : I prefered to verify her state of mind before to go on. That’s how I like to treat my partner in a power exchange situation. Suzy got several minutes to learn how you can feel being tied, gagged & pinched while the rigger continues to increase the constraint with another rope length. Of course, I removed the clothespins after a while … that’s interesting to see the pain was helping her to forget my lens and how she was staring at the screen control again without this evil pinch ! After 35 minutes binding Suzy, she was ready for the real game : I turned down the music before to release my partner from the ball-gag … it was better to hear & capture her reaction after this period without talking ! Now, we were able to start the breath control discovery : because she watched every video published on Captive Culture, Suzy was curious to live this experience. You know that Anaïs, Mina & Amélie also discovered this game with me … no need to say that you shouldn’t it at home without someone beside you. My method has always been the same with the girls who wanted to discover breahtplay : take your time and minimize the risk … I brought the plastic bag on the head of Suzy without closing it : she has been able to feel & hear it with enough air to breath & relax in this new space. For me, it’s important to talk about her feeling and let her know everything is normal é under control : because I was behind Suzy, she couldn’t see me then my voice was like another way to make her more comfortable. After a while, I started to enclose the bag a little bit … and then her exploration about this warm space continued nicely. Meanwhile, she also got pinched & teased to be focused on something else than her breath : that’s a good idea to make this game as playful as possible. Suzy got released shortly before another period of breath control, longer than the previous one. During this break, we exchanged together and she decided to go on … you know my philosophy about bondage & domination, I prefer the soft way. When she got released from her second dive inside the plastic bag, you can see that Suzy was slowly approaching the subspace. Watching the video again, I have the feeling that Suzy tried to analyze every sensation like Anaïs who had always a lot of ideas in mind when she was exploring her own fantasies. Suzy was also a cerebral woman seeking some answers to her deepest questions : the breath control experience is so rich that she probably enjoyed it a lot. After five minutes enclosed in this space, Suzy understood her need of fresh air and how this game is able to increase the vulnerability of anyone. I decided to untie Suzy and try another position, not only because it could be a good idea to do a longer session … then, I started to work on her release from my ropes keeping the student under control. Suzy got her tongue pinched by one clothepin before I brought back the plastic bag to show there was no real break during this session. That’s cool to see her reaction when her arms & legs have been untied : Suzy didn’t loose her smile after all this and before to be bound in another position that you will watch in the last video files. I don’t have a lot of things to add to this commentary which is a way too long … it was probably not necessary to explain all this and comment these moments that caught my eyes having a look to these memories captured 13 years ago.
